Cost-saving

One of the starting points for the design of the cost-saving OIL HUNTER has been the development of cost-saving technology and oil-spill response methods.

The innovation has exploited a new way of combining Lars Lundin’s previous solutions, new ways of using tried and tested technology, simplification of manufacturing, choice of materials, etc.

Existing boats/vessels

Significant cost savings are achieved by utilising the existing fleet in a new way. The current fleet, which has no collection equipment and no oil spill response, can be converted into high-capacity collection units by combining them with an OIL HUNTER transport platform.

Water protection

By combining the OIL HUNTER transport platform with a vessel provides an efficient and easy-to-move fleet for operators to use, which fleet meets today’s needs for protection of coastal waters. The solution both improves readiness and prevents in advance costs of expensive remediation work.

Time saving in collection

The oil-collection transport platform, which can be moved quickly and efficiently between sea areas, brings efficiency to oil collection, thereby generating significant cost savings.

A real-time overview of oil landings is transmitted between the operational personnel and those responsible for the operations, by means of the efficient collection equipment, thereby greatly reducing areal costs.

Sacking

Creative solutions of the new technology make collection easier, saving costs. Among other things, the sack that accompanies the transport platform and which sack does not impede the collection is an essential part contributing to the efficiency and recovery of an uninterrupted collection, providing considerable cost savings.

Maintenance-free

The maintenance-free structure of the transport platform saves costs significantly.
