Jousmor® Oil Hunter

The Oil Hunter is pre-equipped and quickly deployed for towing. The Oil Hunter is suitable for both marine and shallow water and archipelago areas, particularly due to its agile functionality and mobility. Hydraulically operated special self-supporting containment booms allow immediate collection on reaching the oil spill.

Special sacks developed for uninterrupted collection guarantee high capacity in NON STOP collection. The sacks, filled in the sacking system, are dropped into the sea to be moved away by the propeller stream. They are then towed to a sheltered location from where they are later taken away for emptying.

Our new, uninterrupted response chain method means that the idle time arising while the oil is transported to the oil receiving stations is used to continue collecting oil, and the reception of the oil can be staggered to prevent congestion at the station.

Products

Oy JML Oil Recovery Ab’s products are based on the innovations and long-term comprehensive development work of Lars Lundin, who was the first in the world to develop and market the oil-collecting brush. Our product design builds on his ideas to create our new, modern products.

Our main product, the new oil-collecting transport platform JOUSMOR® Oil Hunter combined with the special sacking attached to it, has been created using innovative technology and developed in a joint venture between K. Jousmaa Oy and Oy Orrebo Business Ab. It is an oil-collecting and oil-recovering product that offers cutting-edge technology to the field of oil spill response.

When designing the products, special attention has also been paid to their economics, ergonomics and ecology.
